We in the Primary Department will be breaking the dress code for one day only!
Friday 19th March is to be ‘DRESS DOWN FRIDAY’
Children may come to School on this day in their own relaxed style of clothes. “Dress Down Friday” is a big tradition in parts of the USA where pupils and teachers dress casually on a Friday.
Children who have PE on Friday’s will need to dress in comfortable clothes and trainers
in order not to hinder their PE lesson.
Please ensure your child brings into School 3TL, to be handed into their class teacher on the day, to take part in this special day and all funds raised will go towards extra incentives for the children as part of our Behavior Policy.

We are delighted to announce that yet again our students are succeeding in their external examinations!
Luke Kirby in Year 11, has been studying hard for his Cambridge O Level Statistics Exam and in just 36 hours of tuition from Ms Tricia Agac he achieved a Grade ‘B’.
Many congratulations go to both Luke for his hard work and Tricia for some superb teaching.
All Year 3 , 4, 5 & 6 children wrote poems in Turkish which they performed for parents. Some needed their teachers help because they have only been learning Turkish for a few weeks. We were very proud that even our new children who had only had a couple of weeks with us perform a poem!

The younger children sang Turkish songs and recited Turkish poems which all celebrated the importance of trees and the environment in our health and lives.
Through the week the children have learnt about the trees and life in the rainforest, discussed friendship trees and how trees help us.
On Friday, children created a Magic Wish Forest outside the school with trees they made and brought into school. This Forest had to magically move into the school as the weather got worse during the day!
The variety of designs and the work children and families had do was amazing. It was so difficult to chose winners which our judges did. All the children were awarded prizes.
After the children performed for their parents, Year 2 and the Magic Wish Tree completion winners planted Trees in the grounds making a wish for the future.

Tricia, who teaches Mathematics, Physics and English as a second language in Secondary and is Exams Officer is now back in work and busy preparing Year 10 and 11 for their exams in May/June next year.
